Both products have been developed to resist to extreme temperatures and offer maximum resistance to UV radiation.
FORLI’, Italy – May 6th, 2013 – SO.F.TER., the leading Group in the production of polymeric compounds, extends the range of products dedicated to artificial turf systems with the new TPE-based infill granules Holo GT® and Forgrin GT®. These two products, unique on the marketplace, have been designed in SO.F.TER. labs to resist to UV radiation up to 200 kLangley/year (unit of measurement of solar radiation), almost the highest attainable level in desert areas of the planet.
Holo GT® is the most advanced infill product on the market, characterized by a cylindrical granule with hollow space inside: this special shape, patented worldwide, offers high shock absorption and a pleasant natural feeling never experienced before artificial turf. Forgrin GT® is a solid granule with excellent technical and aesthetical properties. Both products are currently being tested for approval in accordance with the FIFA Quality Concept regulations
Holo GT® and Forgrin GT ® are made with a special alloy based on Thermoplastic Elastomers and, like the rest of the range offered by SO.F.TER., can be recovered and reprocessed several times, being completely recyclable and safe for humans and for the environment.
The Third Generation artificial pitches are characterized by the use of the so-called "performance infill" which is strewed among the synthetic grass fibers. Infill is a key element in the artificial system as it creates the right shock absorption and determines the speed and the effect of the ball bounce. Moreover, from a biomechanical point of view, it has a major impact on the health of the players and on the game pleasantness, as it affects the player’s torsion, sliding performance and stud grip.
SO.F.TER. will exhibit at FSB 2013, the International Trade Fair for Sports Facilities which will be held in Cologne (DE) from 22 to 25 October 2013 in Hall 11.2 / Stand R50.
